Kindred Flower Co. is three generations living under one roof and working on our ten acres together. Located in Metchosin since 2013, Kindred is overseen artistically by Mother-Daughter team Gillian and Meredith. When Meredith isn’t juggling a baby on her hip or homeschooling one of her three school aged children, she can often be found answering your emails (and using lots of emojis).
Gillian is Vancouver Island original, born and raised in Deep Cove, where she also raised her family before moving to Metchosin with her youngest daughter and grandchildren in 2013. A former floral clerk for Thrifty Foods, she discovered her passion for spreading joy through flowers.
While the fun parts and glory of flower farming belong to us women, we would be lost without our men.
David and David work tirelessly to see our visions become realities, including the installation of a new greenhouse for the 2022 growing season.
Kindred is a 50% Aboriginal owned and operated farm.
We are passionate about First Nations presence in farming and business, and as we grow it Is our dream to support further development in these areas for Indigenous People.
